Herencia Cabernet
Everyday Argentine reds, honest and plain, stocked in Commack.
The story behind Herencia
Herencia is an Argentine red label, and the wines come from Mendoza, the high desert country east of the Andes where Malbec and Cabernet Sauvignon both ripen fully in dry sun and cool nights. Cabernet from this region tends to show dark cherry and cassis with a firm, food friendly tannin, while Malbec runs rounder and plumper.
We keep Herencia on our shelves in Commack as a value pour, the kind of bottle you open on a Tuesday without thinking twice about it.

Round and soft enough for burgers, chili, or whatever is on the stove.
Firm tannin stands up to charred beef without costing much.
