Gran Conti Pinot Grigio
Crisp Italian Pinot Grigio, stocked in Commack at a fair price.
The story behind Gran Conti
Pinot Grigio is the Italian take on a grape the French call Pinot Gris, and the Italian style is deliberately lean and bright. Grown widely in the Veneto and Friuli in the north, it is picked early and made in stainless steel, so the wine stays pale, light bodied and high in acidity, with green apple, pear, citrus and a clean mineral finish.
We keep Gran Conti Pinot Grigio in the shop here in Commack, a straightforward 750mL bottle for the table. It is the kind of white that suits a weeknight, a plate of seafood or a warm afternoon on the patio.
