Glengarry Scotch-blend
Highland Scotch from Loch Lomond, poured in Commack since day one.
The story behind Glengarry
Glengarry is made at the Loch Lomond Distillery in Alexandria, Dunbartonshire, on the seam where the Highlands meet the Lowlands. The Loch Lomond Group launched the modern brand in 2015 for the US market, and Master Blender Michael Henry runs the range. The name comes from the Glengarry bonnet, the traditional Scottish military cap.
The blend is unusual because one facility handles its own malting, cooperage and several distillation styles. The flagship is 85 percent grain whisky, 10 percent peated malted barley and 5 percent unpeated malt, fermented 92 hours and matured 5 to 8 years in first-fill bourbon, re-charred and refill American oak.
