Fasoli Gino Italian White
Veneto organics since 1925, poured in Commack for decades.
The story behind Fasoli Gino
Fasoli Gino started in 1921, when Amadio Fasoli turned the family farm in the Illasi Valley east of Verona toward vines. The first sales invoice is dated 1925, and the label carries his son Gino, who built the estate into what it is. In the late 1970s Gino had a severe reaction to chemical vineyard sprays, and the family walked away from synthetics for good. Certified organic by the mid 1980s, biodynamic since 2006.
Natalino and Matteo Fasoli run it now, third and fourth generation. The whites are Veneto to the bone: Garganega from Soave country, Pinot Grigio delle Venezie, Trebbiano di Lugana. We have carried Fasoli Gino for years because the wines overdeliver at their price and never taste like a compromise.
