The story behind Eguren Ugarte
Rioja is Spain's best known red wine region, set in the north near the Ebro River and built largely on Tempranillo. The classic style is medium bodied and savory, with red and dark cherry, a little dried fig, and gentle oak that shows as cedar and sweet spice rather than heavy toast. It drinks well young and gains softness with a few years in bottle.
