The story behind Don Amado
Don Amado is an agave spirit, and like all mezcal it is made from roasted agave, which is why it carries smoke where tequila carries brightness. Tequila comes from blue Weber agave and tends to be clean and vegetal; mezcal draws on a wider range of agave and an older, earthier method. Expect smoke, cooked agave, and a long warm finish.
