The story behind Cupcake
Cupcake Vodka arrived in April 2011, an extension of the Cupcake Vineyards wine line built by Underdog Wine & Spirits, the marketing arm of The Wine Group. Master Sommelier Doug Frost and winemaker Adam Richardson shaped the spirit to match the wines' smooth, sweet leaning personality. It is made in California from a base of 98 percent American grain, mostly corn, with 2 percent grape neutral spirits folded in.
Column distillation runs six times to isolate the clean ethanol heart and strip harsh congeners, then heavy charcoal filtration finishes the job. Pure water from near the Sierra Nevada Mountains cuts it to proof. Natural flavor extracts do the sweet work, no synthetic sweeteners. No oak, no aging, bottled straight after blending. We have poured it for customers chasing dessert in a glass since it landed.
