Ck Mondavi Chardonnay
California Chardonnay, family made since 1946.
The story behind Ck Mondavi
Cesare and Rosa Mondavi bought the Charles Krug Winery in Napa Valley in 1943. Three years later they launched the CK Mondavi label to put honest everyday table wine on American tables. The letters stand for Charles Krug, a shorthand the family still uses. Five generations later the winery is still family owned and operated, and the Chardonnay is still bottled in Napa Valley from grapes grown across California.
The Chardonnay is a blend, mostly Chardonnay with a small lift of Viognier for aroma and mid palate texture. Light oak gives gentle vanilla without burying the fruit. No added sugar, certified vegan and gluten free, and the first wine brand to earn 100% Made in USA Certified status.
