Churchill's Port
Two Churchill's Ports, poured and picked in Commack.
The story behind Churchill's
Port is a fortified wine from Portugal's Douro Valley, made by adding grape spirit to wine while it ferments, which stops the sugar and leaves sweetness with real backbone. Tawny Port ages in cask and turns amber and nutty, while Vintage Port spends years in bottle and stays deep, dark and structured. Both are sweet, warming and higher in alcohol than table wine.
We keep just a bottle or two of Churchill's here in Commack, so what you see is what we have.
