Chimney Rock Whites Other
A Napa white Bordeaux blend, stocked in small quantity in Commack.
The story behind Chimney Rock
Elevage Blanc is a white Bordeaux style blend, the kind of wine Napa Valley makes by combining Sauvignon Blanc with Semillon and sometimes a touch of Sauvignon Vert. That mix gives a rounder, richer white than Sauvignon Blanc alone, with citrus and stone fruit up front and a waxy, honeyed texture underneath. The 2007 vintage has had years in bottle, so expect the fruit to have settled into something softer and more savory.
We stock this one in Commack in very limited quantity, one to two bottles at a time. Call ahead to confirm it is on the shelf.

Serve the Elevage Blanc lightly chilled, not ice cold, so the honeyed texture shows.
