The story behind Cantina Gabriele
Cantina Gabriele traces its roots to the 1850s, when Andrea Pandolfo I made wine from Zibibbo grapes on Pantelleria. The family moved to Tunisia in 1880, left in 1964, and Andrea Pandolfo II planted the current estate near Terracina in Lazio in 1968. Today Gabriele Pandolfo and his family run it, with vineyards in the South Pontine area between the mountains and the Mediterranean.
Every bottle is organic and OU Certified, Mevushal, and Kosher for Passover, vinified under Orthodox Union supervision. Soft pressing on sweet musts keeps the fruit and aromatic oils intact. The whites lean on Trebbiano, Malvasia, and Moscato, plus Pinot Grigio and Chardonnay.
