Buen Andres Sauvignon Blanc
Chilean Sauvignon Blanc, dry and cold, from a valley that earns it.
The story behind Buen Andres
Buen Andres Sauvignon Blanc comes from Viña San Andres, working trellised vineyards in Chile's Maule Valley. Warm days, cool evening breezes and alluvial soils shot through with clay and rounded river stones give the grapes a wide swing between day and night. That swing is the whole trick: it holds the acidity tight while the aromatics build slowly.
Winemaker Juan E. Sepúlveda picks by hand in late February and March, presses whole clusters gently, and ferments entirely in temperature controlled stainless steel. No oak, ever. After cold stabilization the wine runs through a 0.45 micron membrane filter, which is why it pours so clean. We have carried this label for years because it overdelivers at the price.

Which Buen Andres is right for you?
The standard 750mL of Buen Andres Sauvignon Blanc runs $7.99 on our shelf, and the Special Selection case of 12 lands around $200, about $16.60 a bottle. For a dry white at 12.4% ABV with this much citrus and snap, that is the kind of price that makes a Tuesday dinner easier. Stock moves fast on the white, so call ahead at (631) 343-7200 before you drive over to 1171 Jericho Turnpike.
Chilled to 47°F, it cuts through brine and lemon without fighting it.
Green pepper and plum, soft enough for a plate of sausage and peppers.
Twelve bottles, one decision, and nobody at the table goes thirsty.
