The story

The story behind Brilla

Brilla comes out of Italys Veneto, made under Casa Vinicola Botter, a family company Carlo Botter started in 1928. The brand itself was the idea of third generation family member Annalisa Botter, who wanted Italian sparkling wine dressed like high end jewelry. Hence the bottle: a patented drop shape cut with diamond facets that catches light across a room.

The wine inside is Glera, the grape behind Prosecco DOC, worked in pressurized steel tanks at 14 to 15 degrees Celsius, the Martinotti Charmat method. Soft pressing, cold decanting, then a careful cuvee blend before secondary fermentation. The Rose blends Glera with Pinot Nero. Fresh fruit, fine mousse, nothing heavy.
