The story

The story behind Atteca

Garnacha, which most of the world calls Grenache, is one of Spain's great red grapes, and it does its best work in the warm, high country of Aragon and Catalonia. Old vines there give low yields and fruit that runs to ripe raspberry, black cherry, and a peppery, herbal edge, with soft tannin and moderate acidity that make the wine easy to drink young.

We keep Atteca Grenache in the Spanish red section here in Commack. It is a small listing for us, one bottle on the shelf at a time, so call ahead if you want more than what you see.
