Nose
Ripe blackberry and dark plum lead, with a violet lift that keeps the fruit from sitting flat. A little dusty cocoa shows up as it opens.
Palate
Plush and rounded, medium to full. Sweet dark plum and blackberry roll through first, then a soft tannin grip and a warm spice note on the back edge. Approachable and generous right out of the bottle.
Finish
Lingers on dark fruit and gentle baking spice, medium length, smooth and clean, with just enough warmth to invite the next sip.
How to serve and what to pour it with
Serve it at about 60 to 65 degrees, a touch under room temperature, in a wide bowl so the violet and fruit have room to open.
