Nose
Ripe yellow apple and Bosc pear lead, with a squeeze of lemon zest and a faint almond note from gentle lees contact.
Palate
Medium bodied and smooth, almost creamy in texture. Orchard fruit fills the mid palate, apple and pear, then citrus brightens it. Acidity is soft, not sharp, and the wine stays dry.
Finish
Clean and modest in length, leaving pear and a whisper of lemon peel.
How to serve and what to pour it with
Serve chilled but not ice cold, around 50 to 55 degrees, so the apple and pear don't go mute. A standard white wine glass with a slight tulip works well. No ice, no decanting needed. Tip: let it sit in the glass a minute after pouring to open up the nose.
