Nose
Ripe apple and pear lead, with a squeeze of lemon, then toasted oak and a soft vanilla note that rounds it out.
Palate
Full bodied and rounded, almost buttery. Apple and citrus come first, then creamy oak and vanilla through the middle, with gentle acidity keeping it from feeling heavy.
Finish
Medium length, creamy and toasty, fading with a last touch of vanilla and baked apple.
How to serve and what to pour it with
Serve lightly chilled, around 50 to 55 degrees, in a wide bowl Chardonnay glass so the oak and fruit have room. No ice. If it has been in the fridge, let it sit ten minutes. A splash of cool water is not needed here; the wine is already soft.
