The story

The story behind David Bruce

Pinot Noir is a thin skinned red grape that shows best in cool sites, where it gives red cherry, earth and soft tannin rather than weight. California producers have long worked with it across cooler coastal areas, and older bottles like this one tend to show dried fruit, forest floor and gentle acidity instead of bright primary fruit.

We keep a small, rotating selection of older and limited Pinot Noir at our Commack shop, and this David Bruce 2004 is one of them. We stock it in very limited quantity, so what you see is what we have.
