After maturing in new #3 char American oak, the whiskey is finished for several months in freshly emptied amaretto barrels, absorbing layers of toasted almond, marzipan and brittle caramel that lift the bourbon’s natural notes of vanilla, honeyed corn and baking spice. On the nose you’ll find warm praline, orange zest and a gentle waft of cherry cordial. The first sip delivers velvety toffee, roasted nuts and subtle stone-fruit before evolving into cinnamon-dusted cocoa and a pleasantly dry oak finish that invites another pour.
