Artenom 1579 Blanco Tequila is a limited “Selección de 1579” from master distiller Enrique Fonseca, created at Destilería El Pandillo in the highlands of Jalisco, Mexico. Produced exclusively from estate-grown Blue Weber agaves harvested at peak maturity, the piñas are brick-oven roasted, roller-milled, and slow-fermented with natural yeasts before being distilled in copper pot stills. The result is a crystal-clear blanco that captures the pure soul of the agave plant.
Pour a measure and you’ll meet fresh green agave aromas wrapped in orange blossom, white pepper, and a hint of wet volcanic stone—an aromatic nod to the mineral-rich red soils of Atotonilco el Alto. On the palate, vibrant notes of roasted agave, key-lime zest, and sweet Meyer lemon unfold into subtle herbaceous tones of mint and anise, followed by a lingering finish of cracked pepper and saline minerality. Unaged yet remarkably silky, this is a sipping-quality blanco that also elevates a classic Margarita or Paloma.
