Gorghi Tondi Syrah 750mL is an organic, estate-grown expression of Sicily’s sun-kissed south-western coast. Harvested at night from vines rooted in sandy soils within the protected WWF reserve of Lago Preola e Gorghi Tondi, this 100 % Syrah captures Mediterranean breezes, saline minerality, and generous island warmth in every pour. In the glass it shimmers a deep ruby with violet flashes, releasing enticing aromas of ripe blackberry, black cherry compote and wild blueberry layered with cracked black pepper, cocoa nib, licorice and a whisper of lavender. The palate is medium-plus in body yet remarkably agile, weaving velvety tannins around luscious dark fruit, sweet spice, and a distinctive savoury note reminiscent of cured olives and sea spray. A vibrant thread of acidity keeps the finish long, juicy, and food-friendly.
Pair this Sicilian red with grilled hanger steak, wood-fired pizza topped with spicy sausage, or a simple plate of aged Pecorino and Sicilian olives. Serve at 60-64 °F after a brief decant to let the aromatics unfurl.
