Nose
Straight anise, black licorice rope, a little powdered sugar. Clean and forward, with a faint herbal edge behind the sweetness.
Palate
Thick and syrupy, coats the tongue. Big black licorice up front, then sugar rounds it out. Warm midpalate, no burn, just a gentle heat that builds.
Finish
Long and lingering. The licorice fades slowly, leaving a sweet, warm tingle on the back of the throat.
How to serve and what to pour it with
